Overview
DWA offers integrations with many data providers used by sports and entertainment properties. However, you may also want to add data to DWA from a source that we don't support. One option is to use the custom
schema, but this requires an AWS account and the ability to write SQL. Another option is to engage KORE Planning and Insights to build a custom integration for you.
A simpler option is available for those data providers that themselves offer integrations with Dynamics or Salesforce CRM. You can first sync the objects into your CRM and then add them to DWA using our Dynamics or Salesforce integration.
We will use Formstack as an example, but the general approach is the same for other data providers.
Enable the vendor's CRM integration
Begin by confirming that your vendor provides CRM integrations. For example:
Next, find the directions for enabling it. For example:
In this example, the steps are quite different depending on which CRM you have.
Most often, you will create a custom entity (Dynamics) or custom object (Salesforce) in your CRM and manually map fields from the data provider to the corresponding CRM fields. Each time someone submits the form, a new record will be created in your CRM. Depending on how you configure it, this record can be connected to an existing contact / account if one exists.
Caution: If you use KORE's Gen 2 modules with Salesforce person accounts, be aware that some vendors (including Formstack) don't support person accounts. Instead, create a custom object using the vendor's CRM integration, but don't allow it to create CRM accounts—create a flow within Salesforce to match the custom object to an existing person account if one exists or create one otherwise.
Use the DWA integration for your CRM
If you haven't set it up before, contact your KORE Success Manager about enabling the Dynamics or Salesforce DWA integration.
Because CRMs hold massive amounts of data, we only sync the specific tables (Dynamics) or objects (Salesforce) that you request. If you already use one of these CRM integrations, open a support ticket or let your KORE Success Manager know what table or object you'd like to sync to DWA.
Once configured, the data should be available in DWA after the next refresh. Use your database application to find the new table within the mscrm
or salesforce
schema.
