Overview
The rounds functionality lets you enter deal lines specific to tentative events, such as postseason games. These deals commonly use different rate cards than the regular season rates.
Rights holders usually create multiple rounds to reflect the different stages of playoffs. For example, a team might create four rounds named Wildcard, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals. Each round is independent—in this example, a team might skip the Wildcard round and fail to reach the Finals but could still use the other two rounds.
Create a round
To begin, navigate to Configuration Records and select Round from the KORE section.
Next, select Create New Round.
Enter a name for the round. If you'd like to control what order the rounds are displayed in, enter a number in the Order field. You can optionally add the round to a Round Group (see below). When finished, click Save.
You can now create events and event lists for your rounds. We recommend doing so before proceeding.
Add inventory to a round
When you add a rate card to an inventory item, it defaults to the "Regular Season" round. As a result, no inventory is initially available in rounds you create. To make an inventory item available in a round, you must create a new rate card to apply to that round.
Individually
Open an inventory item, then click Create New Rate Card and choose a round from the list.
Bulk
Navigate to Configuration Records > Inventory Items and select Excel Import/Export. Select the season to use as a base and the "Regular Season" round. Adjust the other filters if desired, then click Export.
Save the file, open it in Excel, and enable editing. For each inventory item:
- If you will sell the item for this round:
- Update the rate card details as needed. Rates typically increase for playoff rounds and quantities available may vary.
- In the Event List column, clear the name of any regular season event list and replace it with an event list specific to this round.
- If you won't sell the item for this round, delete the line by right-clicking the row number and selecting Delete. Don't just empty the cells! The spreadsheet has hidden columns used by the importer.
When finished, save the file and return to the Export/Import page. Select the round to make the inventory available for, then click Browse and select your edited file. Finally, click the Import button.
A pop-up window will display the import job's progress. If the process finished with any errors, click View Results. You can then make any needed changes and try again.
The included inventory items will now be available in the Deal Manager. Select "Postseason Only" or "Regular and Postseason" from the Season Mode list to view the inventory.
Create a round group (optional)
A round group lets you organize rounds if you use them for multiple purposes. For example, you might want to group your league playoff rounds together and then have a separate group of rounds for a tournament. A round may only belong to one group.
To begin, navigate to Configuration Records and select Round Group from the KORE section.
Next, select Create New Round Group.
Enter a name for the group and click Save.
You can now select this group when adding new rounds. To add an existing round to this group, return to Configuration Records > Round and click Edit next to the desired entry.
