Overview
Important: This page does not apply to KORE Sponsorship users.
Types and stages are optional labels to help you better organize deals. You can completely customize them to match your organization’s needs. Once in place, team members can use these labels to filter the list of deals throughout Activate.
Use deal types to create categories. For example, you might classify deals as “Global Partners” or "Regional Partners".
Use deal stages to indicate whether your team has closed a deal or how far along they are. Common examples include "Proposed", "Negotiation", and "Finalized".
Configuration
Select Setup from the navigation bar, then open the System Configurations tab. Next, select Deals in the left pane. Click either Deal Types or Deal Stages to expand the list. From here, you can click the + icon to add a new label to the list. Enter the deal type or stage to add, then click the check mark icon.
To change the name of an existing label, click the pencil icon next to it. Click the check mark icon to save, or the x icon to cancel. When you save the change, it is immediately reflected across all of Activate—any deals already using this label are updated to the new label.
To delete an existing label, use the trashcan icon and select Yes in the confirmation box. However, a label can only be deleted if it is not in use.
Deal stages also have a Status column. Use this to tell Activate how to treat deals in this stage, regardless of the label you use. Choose an option from the picklist:
- Draft: The deal is in an early stage and is expected to change.
- Proposed: The deal is in a later stage and under review.
- Contracted: The deal has been made and now must be fulfilled.
- Inactive: The deal has been fulfilled -or- the deal did not come to fruition and no further work is planned.
An inactive deal will be hidden from most views in Activate, including My Deals. To find inactive deals, select Reports in the navigation bar and choose Deal Overview. You may need to change the report's filters.
